We are seeking a Construction Engineer for a full service construction company with projects ranging from critical facility, financial, institutional, healthcare and telecommunications.

Summary: The Construction Engineer will support the project manager for the set up and execute assigned projects, subcontractor scope development, submittal review, schedule development and tracking, meeting minutes, etc. In the mission critical projects.

Financial Institutions:

* New and renovated retail banking and ATM centers
* New and renovated data centers, call centers and operation centers
* Wealth management facilities tenant finish
* New and renovated tenant finish office space

Telecommunications ( Mission Critical)

* New and renovated telecommunications network centers; switches, POPs, etc.

General Commercial:

* Tenant finish projects for Fortune 100 type clients
* Higher education facilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned:

* Support the estimating phase of project
* Bid and RFP efforts including preparation of Invitations to Bid and Instructions to Bidders
* Sourcing subcontractors
* Fielding RFI's and bid document management

Other Responsibilities:

* Working knowledge of managing construction projects in mission critical facilities including the preparation of detailed Method of Procedures (MOPs)
* Developed Interpersonal Communications Skills
* Proven Ability to mitigate and solve problems in a timely manner
* Working knowledge of construction means and methods and applicable building codes
* Applied knowledge and comprehension of project management methodologies including, field quality control, schedule development and monitoring, and subcontract management
* Demonstrated emphasis and focus on customer service

**Must be willing to travel 10%-15%

* Candidate must be willing to travel occasionally for meetings and other related duties.



Education/Experience:

* 5-10 years' experience preferred
* College-level course study I.E. Technical degree or college degree in construction management, civil, mechanical, or electrical engineering - or equivalent field experience in lieu of degree.
* Need to have experience working on commercial projects ranging from $100, 000-$2M
* Computer literate including the use Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Excel, Word, Sharepoint). Proficiency with estimating specific software such as iSqFt, BuildingConnected, On Screen Takeoff, etc. Is a plus
