The included description is for a leadership position with a seat at the strategic table for one of the biggest big data initiatives at a global level! You will leverage your expertise in a wide range of current and emerging technologies to create fast ETL processes. You will manage a team of software engineers, data scientists and support teams as a player/coach with the goal of strategizing, planning, designing, and creating systems to analyze disparate "big data" sources in a collaborative - may the best idea win environment!

In this role, you can look forward to being a voracious consumer of information as you will be given the chance to not only stay current through continued research and design, you will get to apply your findings, techniques, algorithms, and tools to help drive the direction of the business as a whole.

In this role you can also look forward to the following:

* Designing, developing and implementing large-scale software applications across multiple teams
* Managing teams of technical experts with the full gamut of managerial oversight:

* attracting, hiring, retaining, and if need be terminating
* accountability for their goals and objectives
* managing performance and salary decisions
* designing and applying operational policies
* ensuring projects are completed within committed time and budget
* ensuring projects are seamlessly integrated with other software applications
* leveraging scr-agile, seek continuous integration and continued improvement

* Taking concepts into production to provide more meaningful consumer insights
* Using advanced querying and reporting methods to interact with business partners
* Owns big data applications and workflows

Required Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree & 8+ years related work experience OR 12 years related work experience in lieu of degree
* Technical depth in Hadoop and big data ecosystems
* 3+ years in management
* 5+ years with predictive modeling tools: R, Python, Java, SPSS, SAS or other
* 5+ years in advanced math & statistics

Preferred Qualifications

* advertising industry experience
* Hadoop services including HDFS, YARN, Hive, HBase, Zookeeper
* Server side development
* Source code control (e.G., SVN or GIT)
* NoSQL Experience - Cassandra; MongoDB
* Relational database, DBA experience - SQL Database; Data manipulation
* Enterprise Java
* Web services (REST, JSON, XML, etc.)
* Cloud services with AWS
