We are seeking a SQL DBA for a leading education and technology company that has custom solutions for learning throughout one's career in a variety of industries. You will be expected to come in and manage the deployment of many SQL databases hosted on the Microsoft Azure platform. A successful candidate will evaluate the current database environments, conduct research, recommend, and implement innovative systems technology.

Duties and responsibilities:

* Design, implement, and support company data
* Ensure that data for top tier applications maintains a state of high availability
* Develop and maintain documentation of design and workflow of data structures
* Create new solution's patterns within the SQL database and stored procedure code
* Enhance the reliability, security, productivity, and efficiency of the database infrastructure


* Bachelor's Degree in related field
* MUST have experience working with Microsoft Azure
* MUST have experience working with Always On
* Expert technical experience of MS SQL and the MS BI stack
* Experience as a Database Architect focusing on large scale solutions
* Experience in Performance Tuning, Query Optimization, using Performance Monitor, SQL Profiler, and other related monitoring and troubleshooting tools
