The System Engineer is responsible for effective installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware, software and related infrastructure. Tasking will be focused on improving the stability and performance of the system, maintaining and improving the security posture of the systems, continuous monitoring of system health, and troubleshooting issues that arise.

This individual is accountable for Windows server systems, shared storage, backups, virtualization technology, and additional application systems that support infrastructure. Responsibilities on these systems include support, maintenance, and research & development to ensure continual operation. The ideal individual will also provide mentorship and knowledge sharing with team members to ensure continuity of knowledge & staff development.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

* Manage Microsoft Windows Server environments
* Support and repair hardware including laptops, desktops, & servers
* Advanced technical support of communication systems
* Perform software maintenance, installation, and upgrades
* Perform network monitoring, control, and access

JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

A) Knowledge/Skill/Ability

* Advanced knowledge of Active Directory & Microsoft Exchange
* Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server Administration
* Advanced knowledge of Windows automation - scripting, imaging, etc.
* Advanced knowledge of firewalls and antivirus/malware technologies
* Advanced documentation skills
* Advanced written & verbal communication skills

B) Education/Experience

* 2-4 years of hands-on Windows system administration experience
* Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in information technology, related field, or related experience
* Relevant Certifications

* Microsoft Certified System Administrator (MCSA)
* Microsoft Certified System Engineer (MCSE)
* Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
