Duties & Responsibilities: Responsible for tax reporting and compliance for the parent and it's subsidiaries, as well as tax planning for the future, this opportunity presents a wealth of opportunity for someone ready to take the next step in their tax career!

* Timely preparation of estimated quarterly payments, responses to IRS requests for information, accurate and timely filing of tax returns, and ensure audit compliance.
* Utilize income tax planning strategies to minimize future tax bills by assessing, researching and interpreting laws, procedures and rulings.
* Accurately compute and report all income tax matters for company financial statements and annual reports. Preparation of footnotes as well as explaining tax expenses and liabilities provided within the reporting package.
* Manage 1099 filings.
* Advise the company on areas where decisions will impact tax and financial planning considerations.

Qualifications: Requiring a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or other similar area, an active CPA license, and 7 years of public or industry accounting experience, we are in search of someone with prior experience within the health insurance industry. A strong candidate will make effective and persuasive presentations to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors. Prior PeopleSoft financial applications experience a plus!
